another chalk/charcoal drawing, this time of Ladyhawke.
this was on A3 so i dont have a scan just a pic, it took about an hour and a half, the details arent great but i like it overall. i think it captures the feeling of a live performance. anyways, i hope you like it =] xxx just found the reference photo [link] Commentsyeh thanks, i spent less time on the details and more on the overall lighting.
details are quite difficult in chalk too. the reference photo is great, i though it would be awesome in chalk because of the lighting, i'll try to find it. glad you like it and thanks for the fave =] xx -- Clubs - *blackandwhiteclub =PortraitPencilArt ~RealismClub ~dAportraiteures *ThePencilClub *Traditional-Artists *CelebrityPortraits [link] hey thanks, im glad you agree and like it too.
i was definately focusing on the lighting, i thought it was a great photo for that. thanks again -- Clubs - *blackandwhiteclub =PortraitPencilArt ~RealismClub ~dAportraiteures *ThePencilClub *Traditional-Artists *CelebrityPortraits [link] thanks so much
im glad you like it xx -- Clubs - *blackandwhiteclub =PortraitPencilArt ~RealismClub ~dAportraiteures *ThePencilClub *Traditional-Artists *CelebrityPortraits [link] this was my first proper go at it too,
i agree with the detail, it was more about the contrast and lighting for me, just experimenting with the material still. plus it was a little impossible to get any detail with the chunky pastels. i did prefer my other one in chalk/charcoal though, 'isolation' -- Clubs - *blackandwhiteclub =PortraitPencilArt ~RealismClub ~dAportraiteures *ThePencilClub *Traditional-Artists *CelebrityPortraits [link] |
