another chalk/charcoal drawing, this time of Ladyhawke.
this was on A3 so i dont have a scan just a pic, it took about an hour and a half, the details arent great but i like it overall.

i think it captures the feeling of a live performance.

anyways, i hope you like it =]

I love this one! I really like your attention to shading and light! Great job! xx

yeh thanks, i spent less time on the details and more on the overall lighting.
details are quite difficult in chalk too.

the reference photo is great, i though it would be awesome in chalk because of the lighting, i'll try to find it.

glad you like it and thanks for the fave =]

Definitely captures that feeling. The lighting in this is amazing, especially since you were working with charcoal and chalk. Not exactly easy to do. Awesome job!

i like the fact there's not alot of detail to this pic..."less is more" worked great here. the intense contrast of light and dark gives it all the punch it needs! great job:) makes me want to try my hand at charcoals lol

this was my first proper go at it too,
i agree with the detail, it was more about the contrast and lighting for me, just experimenting with the material still. plus it was a little impossible to get any detail with the chunky pastels.

i did prefer my other one in chalk/charcoal though, 'isolation'
